Research helps us discover people’s core beliefs and values to develop more effective communications.

Cocker Fennessy designs and implements research to explore beliefs, measure opinions, analyze behaviors and test reactions to messages. We then use research insights to design outreach and communication strategies that inspire, motivate and create change.

Cocker Fennessy's in-house research team has worked with public and private sector clients throughout the country to conduct online, phone, mail and mixed mode surveys; traditional and online focus groups; social media monitoring; in-depth interviews and customer experience studies.

Conducted survey research (regional and statewide phone and online surveys) related to the Puget Sound Regional Council’s Transportation 2040 Action Plan and the Transportation Futures Task Force to build stakeholders’ understanding of public opinion around transportation issues and funding.

Provided strategic guidance, focus groups and stakeholder outreach regarding rent reform policies on behalf of the Seattle Housing Authority.  Innovative training techniques prepared interpreters to lead community conversations with Somali and Vietnamese residents and research results informed the organization’s policy decisions and shaped public and stakeholder outreach.

Designed, implemented and analyzed regular statewide benchmarking polls and focus groups on behalf of the Washington Indian Gaming Association.  Results are used to inform and evaluate the association’s communications, including a comprehensive social media plan and paid advertising campaign.
