The King County Flood Control District is a special purpose government created to provide funding and policy oversight for flood protection projects and programs in King County. King County Council members serve as board members of the district.
Cocker Fennessy provides research, communications, government relations, and outreach services to the Flood District. Specific services have included developing communications plans, producing public information materials, drafting news releases and op-eds, conducting a telephone and online survey of Green River Valley residents and businesses, and providing strategic advice on policy issues. We also managed communications related to concerns about the potential failure of the Howard Hanson Dam.
