The Blue Ribbon Commission on Transportation (BRCT) was created by the governor and legislature to: assess the local, regional and state transportation system; ensure that current and future money is spent wisely; make the system more accountable and predictable; and prepare a 20-year plan for funding and investing in the transportation system. Cocker Fennessy managed all communications and public outreach efforts, including gathering public input and comment on the commission’s plan and announcing its recommendations. Cocker Fennessy’s work resulted in the BRCT receiving thousands of written comments and hearing dozens of hours of public testimony and comment throughout the state over the two-year period. The BRCT’s statewide television advertising campaign generated nearly 2,500 completed online surveys. |
